Orel is a Ukrainian-born artist currently living and working in Bulgaria. With over a decade of experience in oil painting, her artistic path began under the guidance of a talented mentor in Ukraine and has evolved through constant self-education and experimentation. For the past seven years, she has been based in Bulgaria, where she continues to deepen her artistic exploration and refine her voice.

My name is  Liudmila Orel, I am a contemporary visual artist from Ukraine. My paintings are a reflection of energy, movement, and the emotional connection between humans and nature. Water is my greatest source of inspiration—its constant motion, depth, and transformative power guide my creative process.


I explore this fluidity and strength through bold forms, dynamic compositions, and layered textures. Whether it’s the calm rhythm of a current or the explosive force of a wave, I seek to capture the emotional essence of water in every work.


In my artistic practice, I work with both oil and acrylic paints, often combining them with texture paste and gold leaf. These materials allow me to build dimension, contrast, and a sense of luminosity. The gold elements bring light and symbolism into my work, while the texture creates a physical presence that invites the viewer to feel as much as to see.


Growing up in Ukraine, surrounded by rivers and wild nature, shaped my perception of the world and the emotional language I use in my art. My paintings are not just images—they are energetic landscapes, places of movement, memory, and transformation.
